This 999 Games release takes you to the most remote place on earth. The box contains the iconic decoding disk, a logbook full of cryptic clues, and several sets of cards (riddles, answers, and help cards). The atmosphere is oppressive and suspenseful, with the puzzles cleverly incorporating the winter theme. The difficulty level is challenging enough for the seasoned puzzler, yet remains accessible for those who have played a few Exit games before.
As soon as you open the research journal, your escape attempt begins. You're confronted with complex codes that you must enter on the decoding disk. Only the correct combination will grant you access to the next room or a new tool. The game forces you to carefully study the environment (and the box itself!). Stuck in the snow? The help cards provide step-by-step hints, so you're never left completely out in the cold.
The rules are, as is typical of the Exit series, very limited; you can start almost immediately. The challenge lies in the ingenuity required to solve the riddles. For players aged 12 and up, this game offers a medium to high level of difficulty. It requires keen observation and the ability to make connections between seemingly unrelated objects.
This is a fantastic choice for groups who enjoy cooperative puzzles and a healthy dose of time pressure. It's perfect for 1 to 4 players who aren't afraid to sacrifice game material for the sake of victory. Whether you're planning a night in with friends or looking for a solo challenge to test your own logic, the North Pole waits for no one.
What makes this installment so strong is the thematic integration of the puzzles. You feel the urgency of the evacuation in every riddle you solve. The Exit series is known for its innovative use of materials, and this edition doesn't disappoint with surprising "aha" moments. It's a compact, intense experience guaranteed to give your mind a workout.
Anyone who enjoys the logic and time pressure in Exit: Arctic Evacuation should definitely also watch Exit: The Dead on the Orient Express for a murder mystery on rails. For players who enjoy exploring harsh landscapes in a cooperative adventure, The Legends of Andor from our range is an absolute must-have. Are you looking for a game where you also have to work together under high pressure, but with words? Then 30 Seconds a top choice. Finally, MicroMacro: Crime City good for players who enjoy visual detective work.
Exit: Arctic Evacuation is a chilling puzzle adventure that will have you pumped with excitement. Do you have the foresight to hack the polar station's systems before the helicopter takes off, or will you become a permanent fixture in the ice? Open the box, start the timer, and prove you can keep your cool under pressure!
