The best starter game for little strategists! In this junior edition, children try to be the first to place all their wooden figures on the board. Tiles always fit together, so no frustration over uneven sides. Once a path is closed on both sides, everyone depicted on that path can place their figure. A fast-paced and educational game that perfectly suits the world of young children.

This 999 Games edition contains 36 large, sturdy landscape tiles made of thick cardboard that can withstand a few knocks. The illustrations are beautiful and full of fun details, such as knights, cats, and dogs. The box also contains 32 large wooden play figures (meeples) in four bright colors. The quality is excellent, and the pieces are specially designed for small hands, making it a durable gift for young families.
The principle is simple: draw a tile and place it next to another tile on the table. The beauty of this version is that the roads always continue, allowing children to fully focus on recognizing their own color on the roads. If a road is "closed" on both sides (for example, by a house or a pond), all players whose color is on the closed road can place their piece on it. The first player to get rid of all their pieces wins!
This is one of the most accessible games in our range, with an easy difficulty level and a starting age of 4 years. The rules are explained in under a minute. The game naturally trains spatial awareness and fine motor skills. While it may seem simple to parents, it offers just the right amount of excitement for children to make their first tactical decisions.
This is the ideal first "real" board game for children aged 4 and up. It's perfect for families who enjoy sitting together at the table and where the youngest ones really want a fair chance to win. Because a game only takes 15 to 30 minutes, it's perfectly suited to preschoolers' attention spans. It's a warm, inviting experience that lays the foundation for a long-lasting love of board games.
The strength of this version lies in the positive gaming experience. Because tiles always match, every move feels like a success. It encourages children to pay close attention to details and colors and teaches them how to handle winning and losing in a short timeframe. It's a beautifully designed game that's not only fun to play but also contributes to a child's development without feeling like "homework."

This one is a bit harder to judge. I’ve played it a few times now with the grandchildren on their sixth birthday. They picked it up quickly, but I don't know if we played it according to the rules. They were very unclear and incomplete. But if you know Carcassonne, you can also come up with your own imaginative rules. I don't know yet if this game will be played more often; time will tell.
