Born from a double six

Dicey didn't just come out of a plastic mold. According to legend, he originated during a legendary gaming session that lasted deep into the night. There was so much passion, laughter, and good times at the table that the luck factor of the dice magically came to life. Dicey jumped off the table, walked into our warehouse on his own two feet, and decided never to leave. Since then, he has watched over our stock and ensured that extra dose of gaming fun in every package.

What characterizes Dicey?

Dicey is the embodiment of everything we like about board games. He is:

A tad unpredictable: Just like that one throw that throws your whole strategy into disarray in Catan.

Extremely social: Dicey gets sad sitting alone in a dark box. He wants to stand on the table, right in the middle of the action!

Incorrigibly optimistic: Even if you roll a 1, Dicey still gives you a wink and two thumbs up (just like in his favorite photo above). He always believes in a comeback!

Surprisingly mobile: Make no mistake, with those legs of his, he is lightning fast. He runs from the packing table to customer service to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Where can you run into Dicey?

Dicey is quite busy for a die that used to only roll. You will see him appear more and more often:

In your package: Very occasionally, he leaves a small surprise behind.

Between the lines: Dicey has strong opinions about new releases. That is why he likes to make appearances in newsletters, on the shop, and on our social media channels.

On social media: He isn't afraid to poke fun at 'analysis paralysis' or that one friend who always tries to bend the rules. And yes, sometimes he just poses for a victory photo. He's secretly a handsome guy too.

Dicey's Promise

Although he looks like an innocent D6, Dicey takes his job seriously. He watches over our stock, checks if the shipping boxes are sturdy enough, and ensures that the atmosphere in the Boardgameshop.nl team is always at 'high score'.
